Today was supposed to be straightforward... beat the rain and get the hay and silage made. Instead, it turned into one problem after another. We collected a neighbour's mower, only to discover it needed repairs before it could even start work. Then it was off to collect the tedder... which also needed fixing! Just when we thought we were making progress, the old Ford started overheating with water boiling everywhere. For a few moments I genuinely thought I'd destroyed the engine. As if that wasn't enough, Tommo arrived with another challenge. We needed to build an adapter so his yard scraper could fit the front loader before racing against the weather to get everything finished. Some days on the farm test your patience more than others... this was definitely one of them! Thanks for watching and supporting the channel. Great video, David. I can relate to your overheating tractor I thought I was cleaning the grill and radiator of dirt and chaff regularly. Last spring i was drilling oats and it seriously overheated. I "limped " it a short distance to the barn. Pressure was so high, it split the hard plastic on the top of the radiator! $1500 dollars later, it works well and fortunately, no engine damage. I NOW know how to properly clean the radiator 😊.

on the tractor radiator , the front oil cooler can be removed to clean behind , two butterfly nuts to remove it , you should be running that Tedder at max 540 rpm , sounds like your revving the shit out of it, no need for that , and yes you should have blown out the radiator especially when used on a straw blower, you do a good job maintaining everyone else machinery, need to do the same on your own 🙂 good vid
We spent a long time with power trouble on a Massey pump fully gone through and all but twas the linkage for the pull stop in the finish. Cable wasn’t pushing it 100% of the way the eye was wore on it

Good video if you flush out the cooling system on the ford and put some antifreeze in along with clean water the coolant in the antifreeze should help keep the engine cooler we have a7610 and it definitely helps
Is there engine oil on your finger when you dip in in the rad David? Those 10 series were notorious for it.
