With a CNC aluminum chassis, LPCAMM2 memory, larger battery, and a 120Hz HDR touchscreen, the Framework Pro 13 fixes almost every issue from past generations. I just hope LPCAMM2 memory is not DOA. A few years ago the future looked bright. Now it feels like it's on a lifeline, as only a couple laptops have ever implemented it, and how many manufacturers will even support it? :( It was a great technical solution to the problems with SO-DIMMs. But it arrived at a time when more SoCs are more often soldering the RAM in the same package, and when memory chips are impossible to source.
Not the frame video we were expecting today 😭
I did laugh at the one finger hinge video showing the guy holding the laptop steady on the nearest left corner 😂
6:46 that screen usability in direct sunlight is legimately impressive
2:37 he didn't one finger the laptop
My preorder was automatically reduced from 64 to 32GB of RAM due to pricing. I do have the option to increase it back to 64GB for a mere $2042. AI can just die
LOOK AT HIS FACE he's been reviewing the frame
Not the Frame I was looking for 😢
02:36: "One finger hinge" ... Holds it down with the other hand.
Don’t the labs have a sound testing chamber? When will we get a fan noise comparison to the previous frameworks with measurements? I’d like to be able to quantitatively compare the noise of different machines because that’s hard to get across on a video
My preorder was automatically dropped from 64 to 32gb of ram because of price. I do have the privilege to increase it back to 64gb for a mere $2042. AI can just die already.
STEAM FRAME WHEN LINUS WE KNOW YOU HAVE ONE
2:38 one finger hinge??? he is obviously holding the laptop down with the other hand
RIP LPCAMM2 prices, had to cancel my preorder for the new pro motherboard after 32gb skyrocketed to 900€. Welp guess my I7 11th gen is getting a new black chassis instead
I better see a 1PM video for THE FRAME
I'm in batch 3 for a 13 Pro. Thankfully I had picked up a 32GB module and 4 TB nvme drive right when I placed my pre-order; I've checked a number of times and have noticed that it is now impossible to find any lpcamm2 modules.
this is your daily reminder to throw eggs at your local AI data center
"one finger open" but he was holding the base with the left hand, am I missing something? 2:37
The Greastest Technition that ever lived is impressed
