You've reached the end
I saw reddit post saying "since 1440p is now the standard when will 4k be the new standard" that post was in 2014...
Remember when sony used to have 8k on the ps5 box
4k MIGHT become what 1440 is to us rn in Like 20 years
Steam Hardware Survey isn’t the most accurate set of data obviously, but it’s what we have access to: 1920x1080 = 51% 2560x1440 = 21% 3840x2160 = 5%
I think a lot of the narrative comes from console gamers playing on a 4K TV and having it upscaled without them realising
We need higher PPI displays, maybe then we'll see 4K flourish!
Most PCs in the world are running 1080p because the hardware to run 1080p compared to 1440p costs 80% less.
The problem is my paycheck isn't advancing fast enough for any of this to matter to me
it's not gonna be a standard till game devs optimize their games for it.
Keep cooking son 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I remember the 1080ti releasing to usher in a new era of 4k gaming. Ha!
Meanwhile i still use 720p
I have a 5070Ti and it plays 4K as long as I adjust some settings. I will never play anything else
1080p is good enough imo i would even play at 720p if i had the monitor for it
It's because gpus are too expensive!
First we need to have affordable screens with native 4K. When I say affordable I mean around 300euro. Then we can worry about the rest.
I use 1366x768 😭
We went from the high-end being 2K to it being 1080p with AA and motion blur and calling that 4K.
When playing on 27" screen. There's no point going 4k.
tbh i kinda dont care about anything above 1080p....
