Ford didn't shut off shit lmao. The only way it was shut off by the dealership is if it was financed by the dealership themselves (by here pay here).

Lol, that's been happening for years. Usually at buy here pay here type lots, they'll wire in a start disable module that has a SIM card, and can be activated remotely. None of those should shut off the car while driving, that's an installation error, but they all will stop the car from starting. I've had a few cars that came to me with one despite buying with a clear title and from a private party, so those always get searched for and removed if/when found.

If this worked in older Nisan altimas or any Kia for that reason. Dallas, Atlanta, Chicago etc. would be at a complete standstill still 24/7

Dealerships and lenders have used remote "starter interrupter" devices to disable vehicles for missed payments since the mid-2000s. This practice is especially common in sub-prime or "buy here, pay here" auto financing.
