I had a warped bed from the guy beforehand who had added aftermarket springs to the leveling gears and cranked them to the max over several tests i added in painters tape to the underside of the plate making it level enough to print on

But, "bad first layer" isn't what the description said at all....

Dang I wish I had a budget for a 3d printer I never have any money left after I do my other fav hobby’s like networking and homelabbing it sucks needing to use a online store to order stuff that costs cents to print yourself. I hope I didn’t comment this twice, if I did oops.

Had that exact printer for a few years before upgrading to a centauri carbon, was a really good ender 3 clone

Ive got that same printer, and the abl is a game changer, but dorsnt save you from user error. Brave of the prior owner going for a used as their first printer! Theres a steep learning curve already

I have a bltouch but for me it's easier to just use the manual leveling mode where I slide a piece of paper under the nozzle and then turn the knobs under the bed

Mate how did you level it correctly like mine always fails when I level it and it's on a custom bracket I've made for the printer but I can never level it correctly.. help me out

Do you know why my printer keeps smacking up every time I print? It always messes up?

I do not normally comment but this reminds me of myself when I bought a 3d farm used prusa mk3s+ and had no clue why the filament wasn't sticking and what 3D printing was at all. I left it for around few months rotting and had lost all hope thinking either it is broken or something else. Then decided to give it a last go and found out I had to adjust the 3d printer first layer bed levelling, and after a year now it still works perfectly.
