2026 truck already has rust

Can’t keep selling new trucks if they don’t break down before 100k miles.

Its on purpose to keep costs down. As a mechanic for the last 4 decades I could write an entire book about engineered obsolescence

For the life span of most of these new cars they sit in a overflow lot until the dealership comes to collect them I’ve worked at one and some cars could sit for literal months before any one came and it wasn’t an indoor lot there was mud and all sorts of stuff that could affect the cars not to mention if it was snowing we would have to dig them out of the snow new cars sure might have 0 miles but they sure will have other problems in them

Idk why they can’t coat metal correctly, it’s 2026. You can’t tell me we can’t seal a piece of metal properly.

The actual reason is we used to make cars out of USA steel, now they are made with metal traded from china.

New truck frames are coated with wax and not paint anymore. As soon as the wax rubs off the frame rusts.
