Here is my take on. Either we are last or we are first life in the solar system . And if they didn’t live there it might be in it beginnings . But it would be nice if we had another planet like earth and have what thy call human. Remember everything is just chaos and random things happening even in space .

if it is a giant ocean and does have life, the light or dark side of the planet would probably be irrelevant to most of the sea life, especially that witch loose deepest under the water which is probably where the majority of the life would be and if you think about it, even on earth deep sea life is either in total or near total darkness, making whether or not their side of the planet receives life largely irrelevant on K2 18 B.
Finding life on a hydrogen world would. Prove life is a state of matter not a prescribed possibility. Anything can be alive in the right combinations.
