I think it will be a mistake scrapping these cars. We will miss them in the near future. Old but reliable and cheap they get the job done. I drive a w204 from 2008 diesel it's old but i take good care of it and it serves me well still looks good even. I really don't like the idea of buying the newer much more unreliable problematic cars with expensive repairs.
If a car is properly maintained then it should be reliable. It’s often low mileage cars of the same age that cause trouble…
