Skycrab also chocked another likely world record a few months ago. He got blinded by mobs while searching for the end portal room, so he lost some time before entering

He can’t be done though. If I were him, the thought that I could have a 6:17 run rn. But have a 6:39 (I think) would haunt me, I wouldn’t be satisfied just with the world record. I think the only way for him to be able to truly be satisfied after such a devastating loss is to get a run that would beat that 6:17.

3:42 Pearl hanging wasn’t a bug or glitch. Back then, ender pearls simply stopped updating once they were outside the loaded chunks because entities outside the simulation area aren’t ticked. That’s just how Minecraft’s chunk loading worked. The reason it doesn’t work anymore is because Mojang changed pearl behavior so pearls now keep chunks loaded while in flight. That’s a gameplay change, not a bug fix.
