This Chevy LUV has been sitting in the Arizona desert for the past 15 years. My son Bradley and I are going to get it running, driving, and hopefully stopping well enough to attempt the ultimate test—a 1,800-mile road trip back home. Brad is as fortunate to have you as you are to have him as a son! God bless your family, Derrick!
Nice to hear Jessica at the end!
A big guy and a bigger guy making memories. What a lucky young man!
This is why I watch Vice Grip. It's about the cars, but it's not about the cars.
After near death car accident last September and months upon months of learning how to walk and stand again, today was the day I decided to get back into the car barn and start bringing back around the fleet that has been sitting for over a year. I collect 30's thru 60's Mopars. So basically having to do what your doing here. Took a drive to get needed stuff and on the way back, well, yep. The first thing I need to do is change out the now locked up water pump on my 2001 Nissan frontier. Not where I wanted to start but feels good to be able to turn some wrenches again. Needing a classic to work on I have a 39 Chrysler Royal with OD, great running, but has sat. Just NW of Fort Worth
Brad is lucky to have a dad like you as you are to have a son like him! God Bless Your Family Derrick!
Jessica, do more of those voiceovers. I didn’t know we needed that until it happened 🤯❤
Right on! I've owned my 72' Chevy Luv for 41 years . Current drive train= 350sbc 4 bolt main Borg/Warner 5 speed . My first vehicle. Still have it. Thanks for finally doing a Luv!❤❤❤❤❤
I think the family road trip videos are my favorite! My daughter is eight and I understand how special these trips are as a father. Much respect sir 🍻
A buddy of mine built 3 Luvs in the late 80s. One was lowered with a tilt bed and a blown 350, one was a street rod he'd also drag race. The third was all engine, a 396. He picked me up from high school and did a 2 and a half block burnout that scared the shit out of me!
Legit the fastest I've ever been to a video. Great to be a part of this space.
The banter with Bradley is fun. I like he’s totally in tune with you on the talk and work. Thanks for a great video.
I hope this is the beginning of the new VGG father/son duo videos!
It’s so wild to hear Bradley with a deep voice! Your boys are growing up! So glad you brought him along with you.
Wow, Bradley is as tall as you are God bless him
Somebody loved that truck so much. I love the customization on a budget
2 sasquatchs in a tiny truck 😂 This going to be epic!
2:09 I can't wait to see you two try to get in it.
👍🏼 Jessica raised such cool sons. Their father is a work in progress.
Awesome video. Those buick v6s we're also used in our Australian Holden Commodore from vn 1989 -- VR 1995. Our version had fuel injection. I own a vn with its original buick v6, has done 460k kms. And still runs awesome.
