Congrats to her still getting a medal despite that. However, the coach should have stepped in and stopped her she could have gotten even severely injured.

As someone who has performed professionally, I can tell you that it is usually the athletes who refuse to drop it. Do you think you would want to give up something you fought for for years, didn't sleep properly for, ate nor rested? At such moments, pain and injuries don't feel important enough. The chance to have it...that's what it is.

She was the one who wanted to continue so I wouldn’t say it’s abuse but the coaches should have stopped her

What was that spray?

The spray being applied is a spray that limits blood flow to that area reducing pain as a dancer I use it for shows and a lot of people use on reoccurring injuries

As a person who has had broken bones, sprains, dislocations and multiple concussions due to hockey before the age of 14 I am not calling this abuse. I play no matter what and I’m not even that good at the sport either. When in a position like this where she is way more dedicated then I ever was and more talented too, I would do what she did. She did good.

I worry for Lena. Every season she has to retrain her quads because of injuries. What Plushenko is doing with her isn't right, she's one of the most talented, yet mismanaged athletes I know.

Honestly, stuff like this happens commonly and sometimes you dont even notice it if you're just watching. During a dance show one time, I completely threw out my shoulder and then it popped back in. It hurt so bad to put pressure on, and it was completely numb, but for the next move I had to push up onto it. Later, people didn't even know I had gotten injured until I told them.

*Congratulation to Elena to getting 3rd place and I hope her injury heals early; she'll be in my prayers ( and also DID ANYONE NOTICE ANNA SHCERBAKOVA PUT THE MEDAL ON HER???? )*

I once was riding down a black while snowboard and fractured my arm and made it to the bottom and proceeded to do a double diamond trail.

Last week I was forced to continue dancing at a dance competition after I had already injured both of my Achilles tendons and I had to go to the hospital today because they were so injured. We should not be pushing children to be insane at sports at such a young age, especially when they’re injured.

By the time the coach would come and get her she would already have been numbed, yall acting as if she broke her arm, either way she got bronze which is AMAZING for a kid her age

That was a break, there is no doubt about it. She should have been taken to the hospital.

I had broken my bone and needed surgery but my coach sent me back on playing field hockey with no mods or numbing
they pushed her to her limit
