For those confused; this is shipping with a very old version of Harmony OS (version 4.3) that is still Android (and hasn't gotten any security updates at all since late 2025). Modern Harmony OS is not Android anymore.
11:11 harmonyos is currently neither an android skin nor an android fork. You may be thinking of harmonyos versions 2.x to 4.x. After harmonyos 5.0, it stopped using android as a base and now uses its own microkernel, called the hongmeng kernel. However, you can still run android apps in a sandboxed environment. As usual, they did not do enough research.

As far as I know, the Chinese version doesn't include Android. Huawei's HarmonyOS removed Android a year ago, but the overseas EMUI versions do have Android and have regained Google's license
