Gen Z working peacefully with low lighting

I like when its not too light but i dont really like when I have to look at a bright computer screen when its dark around me, it just feels super bright

I think we all need some middle option. Working with all lights off except the computer is not even soft/low light bc its the fcking absolute darkness with hella bright screen burning your eyes. And the super bright top light also causes headache for some people. So i think we all need some actual soft light, maybe few lamps around or turning on one half of the room, so its not all lit

Actually -yes. I'm a teacher and several of the teachers I work with are genz and they have the lights off in their classrooms all the time!! Like gurl my millenial ass would think it's always naptime LOL

Millennial in my office… the light is OFF.

in senior high our classrooms could go really dim when the lights weren't on. Unless we had art classes, we always kept the lights off bc a lot of us liked to either nap or be cozy with the aircon (no the teachers really didn't care as long as we passed). Whenever we had to go outside to the canteen or the bathroon, the whiplash from perfectly dim classroom to bright flashing sun usually elicited a violent hiss from a lot of us
