Mine was 15 and she went outside to take a nap in the sun and passed away. I wish all of my dogs could have that.

My baby still found sunny spots. At the end of her life she suddenly went blind because we found out she was diabetic too late, but every time we let her outside to potty she would sit in the sun for as long as possible. Unfortunately we didn’t catch the diabetes quick enough so medicine didn’t work and she lost complete control of her bladder. My parents decided it would be best for us to put her down. She was a great dog and always found a sunny spot to lay on to the very end ❤️❤️

I got my boy from the shelter the day after my 4th chemotherapy treatment. I spent the whole session looking online and found the sweetest lookin brindle pit mix named Barnabus. Took him home and he just immediately knew he was mine and I needed him and with in a week or two you woulda thought he’s been mine forever. 2.5 years later and I’m in full remission and Barney is doing just fine enjoying all the walks and treats his tiny head desires

I think this is a senior dog who is trying to get comfortable by finding a warm spot to relax in. If the senior dog doesn't get up to find comfort in a sunny spot, then that means that the senior dog has grown too tired or weak(aka is close to dying).

I lost my girl when she went to sleep in the yard at age 17 last Thursday. I will miss her forever ❤

Had a Jack Russell for 17 years. From 11-28. She loved sunbathing and she passed doing so. Breaks my heart all the years later. Her ashes are on our mantle with a picture of her as a baby. I tell my kiddos about her all the time and they know who Lizzie was.

Saying good bye to our pooches is one of the hardest things to do. I still miss my little bichon Rocky. Your senior dog will be always be in your heart.

I remember holding my Yorkie in my arms like a baby, as we let the sun come down on us. My doggy was dying and could no longer walk or stand. I still remember feeling the warmth of the sun as It came down on me and my dog.

Lost Chief this year , May , he was a 12 Year old Bullmastiff Mastiff mix. Handsome brindle boy, protective till the end, in his final days he seemed embarrassed to be carried because of his weak hind legs. I loved carrying him, I wish I could pick his 135 pound azz up right now. Wish I could hold his paw.
