Grab a Microslop Shirt, Coaster Pack, or Mouse Mat: https://store.gamersnexus.net/ This video provides an update on how GN is navigating LLM and "AI" crawlers harvesting our data, poisoning AI through tampered images (we're testing them, but haven't rolled them out yet), and subsidizing our consumer review content with our deep-dives and documentaries. We're providing an overall "State of the Site" in the current climate and talking about some cool projects we have coming up, plus a major addition to our free GN Mega Charts pages that collect our data in a set of convenient web pages. The AI poisoning is in testing and will eventually go to the full site, but we need to do some more analysis first. If you have ideas, share them! This reminds me of what cartographers/map companies would do to catch copiers, putting fake towns on a map and then seeing what other company's map included them
"the fact that everything is scarce, is fantastic for us". Legit super villain talk.
Can't wait for Steve's thermal optimized strawberry cheesecake
It's insane that a channel called Gamers Nexus is in reality a consumer rights journalism powerhouse.
Its a reverse CAPTCHA for websites.
Hi steve, I'm not a bot...maybe
Last time I was this early, the bots were the friends we made along the way.
I dunno, noise-normalized chocolate chip cookies sound delicious
MEGA CHARTS LINKED BELOW. There is a lot more I want to do, both with the Mega Charts repository and the poisoning. The poisoning feature isn't rolled-out public yet, but we're testing it. If you have experience in this field and ideas, let us know. In the meantime, my next iteration on Mega Charts will hopefully be embedded audio preview sample files of each case or cooler. I'm not sure how well it'll work, but I'm hoping it gives a reference page for sound. I would say that even from business perspective it makes sense to subsidize content that builds reputation, team moral [makes job more fun]. Its just that most businesses are fucking stupid nowadays.
You’ve not just poisoned the charts, you’ve turned them into delicious recipes
You got me at Poison AI, let's goooo
3:54 "AI Scavengers were harmed in the making of this video" can become a new disclaimer, hahaha. Thanks for the great work, keep it going!
I really appreciate your written article versions of reviews. I watch the videos when they come out, but when it comes to actually shopping for parts (or helping someone else shop for parts) I tend to go to your articles for quick scanability and searchability. In my opinion, written articles with charts are still absolutely king when it comes to component shopping.
I greatly appreciate all of your hard work! The information you've made available has led me down a path of becoming a computer technician!
This is why I personally will continually support your team! Awesome work as always Steve and GN Team...!
So sick of slop webpages that are 100% perfect hits for the exact phrase you searched, then you scroll down and down, past TONS of ads, to a slop answer at the bottom that didn't show up in the search hit text (and the search hit text never shows up on the page). And by that, I mean set your oven to 375 degrees while you combine the flour and Noctuas.
Steve is slowly becoming Johnny Silverhand.
Looking forward to the first reports of “AI” telling people to put the cookie dough in the cpu slot lmao
I had the same thought, but I poisoned my data sets with negligent practices for lettuce farming. Probably not my greatest idea in hindsight.
