One time, on holiday in Sweden, the rental car place said that the weather was pretty bad there at present, so I really needed to RENT some tyre chains from them. I asked how much, and was told something like 320 Krona per day (about $33). They were quite pushy, and as far as I was concerned if something was "really needed" to help protect their car, then they shouldn't be charging for them, so I asked what the insurance waiver costs, and he said that's (something like) 230 Krona (about $23) per day. I replied "Fine. I'll include the insurance waiver thing then", he added "And the snow chains?", I said "if crashing your car isn't going to cost me anything extra, why would I spend more money renting snow chains?". The look on his face was priceless. 🤣

I believe that was filmed before they figured out how to foil the catamarans. Probably would’ve ended differently now.

I rented a ford focus with full coverage on Malta once. Dont think i ever did less than 100kph 😂

You do need to watch this episode. It's great fun, with the usual buffoonery. But one thing it did teach me. Always check your hire car thoroughly. 😅
