I bought my first Porsche 911... but not how you would expect. I bought my first crashed damaged Porsche 911. And its a hybrid! No messing, straight in the deep end. How hard is this going to be to fix! Win the Camper here: https://competeforcars.co.uk/product/vw-transporter-campervan-2024/

The downside is the forklift causes more damage than the accident it's self sometimes.
Ffs Dean , get someone to help you lift stuff . You only get one back and when it’s fucked like mine you’ll regret it.
If that battery is exchange means it must be able to be fixed !!
There will be someone somewhere who can repair that fuse inside that battery
This adds to my list of reasons why I'll never own a vehicle made in the 2020s.
getting a horrible flashback to MA and that "revolt-ing"
If you use the same air bag company as Chris and Rob, they come out and strip everything out and bolt the new stuff in. Also if a seat bag has blown they send the seat to be repaired as new.
Should have maybe called the Airbag team, who Rob and Chris use .
The reason that yours is my favourite Yt channel is that the cars are interesting (and not dreamland supercars) and you share with us your frustrations when overcoming poorly designed construction features making simple repairs unnecessarily complicated. I often use similar language in comparable situations, but usually when I realise that I have caused the difficulty in the first place. Going to be epic when completed.
Good looking Porshe Dean. Hope the hybrid system does not cause you any serious grief🤟
Nice car Dean... but i think you are going to be in a hole world of pain with this.... Hopefully Not...
You give them your battery; they replace the fuse, they sell it for over £2K. External fuse holder wasn’t an option.
Try Poland for the battery Dean
I wouldn't change the battery until you have changed the main pyro fuse, it is worth testing if the car will start before changing the battery. What if the internal battery pyro didn't blow? Unlikely maybe, but worth the chance
You realy needed a second pair of hands. Balancing the entire weight of the dash on the dainty little gear selector in central console...
I’d be grinding those welds of the top of that hybrid battery and changing that pyro fuse for about £30 …
Someone somewhere will be able to repair the battery, having said that our Electric Moped (Road Registered) which we carry on our Motorhome, Spare Battery is £600 so £2.5k is a bargain providing Porsche don’t charge you another £2.5k to fit & programme it
Hybrid 911 - what is the world coming too
Too many comments to see if this has been said. Why don't you use the guys rob and Chris do for belts bags and dash? Love that map behind you!! Cheers.
OGS in London will be able to give that battery a 2nd life.
