You've reached the end
WD40 is a good penetrating oil to use in certain situations. I have always been in the CRC 5-56 camp though which I find works better to help loosen rusty bolts and whatnot. But yes, it is important to know that while it *does* lubricate it's not it's primary intended purpose and won't work as well as products that are intended for doing that. And while on that subject, not all lubricants are created equal, they each have their intended use for different parts and purposes. Some will be downright detrimental in some circumstances while absolutely perfect in others. To select which kind of lubricant you need to do some research. I can understand why people are confused, because WD40 claim themselves to be a lubricant. They are just not that honest with just how bad it is. You can slap a label that says "lubricant" on a bottle of olive oil and you would not be incorrect. Hell, spit on something and it is technically a lubricant if it lowers friction.
🗣️“DUBLOO DEE 40”
and yet they still INSIST it is a lubricant. its painful to see anything "re lubed" by wd40
good cleaner. i use it the opesit way. for cleaning old greas and sand mix
If it isn’t a lubricant, then why they make WD-40 nozzles lubricant rails in maker world for Bambu lab printers and other 3d printers my friend has one and uses it on all of the machines and it works

I didn't hear you use the word "penetrant" anywhere...
i thought it was a cleaning thing, like it cleans the part so it works right and then you put the lubricant on after
It's also good to spray on your knees for arthritis,my grandpa swears by it.
I use it for unlock bolts
It is also fantastic to remove glue residue from stickers
