That dude has no social skills, but you can tell you made his week if not month from that. People here say he ghosted, that's not it at all. He's spent years being told "when someone stops talking stop trying to continue the conversation" and that's the only way he doesn't get excited and annoy people. As a person with Asperger's I know that look a mile away.

It’s definitely the adapter I got one from five below that would do the same

Its not a virus and its not dirty or broken...my phone does that too when i plug in my headphone dongle.....and plus its not easy to get a virus on proper updated android phones
