Genuinely how in the FUCK are people benefiting from insurance? My dad got slammed into by a guy who wasn’t looking with our old car insured fully comp for 2500. The guy admitted full responsibility and reported it to his insurer. After a month, an assessor came round, wrote it off before even really looking at it and after 5 months of “careful consideration”, they gave us 400 quid, and hiked up the price of the premium by 300 quid when we found the exact same car (1 year newer, same engine and trim). The other guy is now driving a nicer car, while we got kicked in the teeth just because it was an old car. These criminals need to be stopped
Smthing like that happened to my uncle, he got hit by a company 18 wheeler. The owner of the company came out and asked him how much to not call the cops and not get insurance involved. My uncle asked for $20k and the guy just signed a check and said have a good day. My uncle later said he should have asked for 30 😂 oh the total of damages was just 4k 😂
