Watched my uncle die of aids in the 90’s I was 14 when he passed. He was my fav great uncle. He helped me thru school I was a bad kid but he helped me a lot. It was so sad he was an army guy faught in Vietnam to go from 200lbs to under 90 in 1 yr was terrible to watch. Love you uncle Bob.

This is the one roll I will defend Jared Leto in relentlessly. That part was perfect.
My mom had AIDS. She had lymphoma, Toxoplasmosis, and melanoma all at the same time before they figured out she had HIV that had progressed to AIDS. She had a wonderful support group and my dad and her parents were very good to her when she was sick. She had just become employed by someone other than her father for the first time in her life and she wasn't invited back to her job as an accountant when she got out of the hospital. I am so thankful for the protection she had in the form of my dad and her parents. She had so much class and dignity and poured so much life into everyone that met her. EVERYONE loved my mom. My friends that had the privilege of knowing her before she passed still love her and her friends still share stories about her.

Found out I got hiv 5 years ago I'm 34 years old . I still work and try to live my life I have to take medicine every day to keep the virus down I got 2 kids hiv free thanks 2 the new medicine out now I feel bad for the people that the medicine came too late having this humbled me

Being a haemophiliac growing up in the 80's life was scary, the same treatment I needed to save my life could have also given me HIV/aids. I lost a lot of my fellow haemophiliac friends to this horrible disease, I did get hepC from bad treatment but I was lucky... I can't believe there is people today that call them selves "bug catchers" that willingly want this horrible disease.

I was so confused with everyone commenting about Jared Leto before realising he's Rayon's actor, then got shocked AGAIN realising that *this* is the Dallas Buyer's Club I've heard so much about. I like to watch old popular movies without watching the trailers or knowing the premises, this would've thrown me but now I wanna watch it even more
