First time I get a little sad because of a death...
The game has existed existed for multiple years, but Kai and Speed still doesnt know how to properlly pvp against mobs. The last thing you wanna do, when you are down three hearths to a mob which deals a lot of damage is to turn your back into it, while you jump on top of water, so the mob can still reach you. Kai should keep his shield up, so the mob cant deal damage on him and at the same time eat a golden apple to quickly restore health up, when they come very much in clutch in low hp situations. Another thing they should have is a bow and, if they can enchant it into a fier bow they should do it, so they can from distance kill them without getting any damage themselves, while their on top of a boat, so they can always move further away, if thoese flying creatures get close and survive much better that way.
