i think we need another price hike to offset the current price hike, which was intended to offset the price hike before that because of the price hike that came before that.
If a data center had a faulty set of ram I bet micron would have no problem finding a replacement
remember when the hardware news was about, you know, new hardware? things have been so bad that there's just no good news anymore. also, great work on the reporting side. thanks, Steve.
Please, for the love of all that is holy, ask that town council if they have signed any NDAs and record what they answer.
High demand, price increases drastically. Low demand, price increases drastically.
Louis Rossman is a beacon of hope in theese dark times
My local gas station in the hood has a sign in the window: “Less than 8GB of memory in cash register at any time”
Those are no longer Price Hikes. Those are fully-sprinted Price Hike Marathons.
Thanks, Steve
"The customer is always wrong" seems to be the corporate mantra for the 2020s.
Flock's getting heat, rightfully, but we can't forget that Axon also exists. They're doing the same thing, flying under the radar while everyone's focused on Flock.
I heard you on NPR a few weeks ago I was like I know that guy... I got that guy's shirt...
I need everyone to keep an eye on AXON as well. Counties are removing their flock contracts but then partnering with AXON in the exact same way. All mass surveillance needs to go.
They say it’s a golden age, sure whatever.
16:47 I wouldn't mind a "Steve rants" episode from time to time, when you have some spare time. Thanks Steve! (And the rest of the GN team!) For looking out for consumers, appreciate the effort!
I have a TRX50 Threadripper motherboard. If my RAM breaks I am screwed. There are no more RDIMM kits available in my region. My MB needs true DDR5 ECC memory to run. There are no kits. Nothing ... not even silly expensive ones. We all think everything is just going to be even more expensive, but I am increasingly concerned that most stuff will just be out of stock and not available in 2027.
10:47 i wonder if they'll honor that "purchase value cash replacement" when the price crashes, and what is now $1400 falls back to the normal price.
13:21 sounds like a solid class action lawsuit

Wendell said in a recent video that Crucial is a good brand. It turns out we should steer clear of the remaining stock still on sale.
