Its funny when horses do this. Somehow they get themselves out of very small spaces very easily when caught.
My old gelding did this once and got into the oats bin. The feed room was lon, narrow and involved steps, so getting past him to back him out was fun. Also, he wasn't allowed oats because they went to his head, so he acted like he was high as a kite for the next week!
