One of the most tragically funny moments in Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa is when they desperately ask if there’s any water, only to be told there’s plenty of gold and diamonds instead. Everyone looks completely devastated because in the middle of a drought, all that wealth means absolutely nothing when the one thing they actually need is water. #madagascar #movie #film

This isn’t a joke, this is reality.
It’s literally a basic geography joke, Africa has the most precious materials
Me coming up from my unsuccessful redstone mining trip
This is no joke - its reality. In situations like this we realize what values the most. Not cash, diamonds , luxus - its things that keep us healthy and alife (nature, family)
Like aurora said " YOU CANNOT EAT MONEY"
Moto Moto was a bro. Dude lost his flame, Gloria, to the tallest guy around, and instead of getting jealous or sulky, he still had a working and kinda chill relationship with her here. He was a chill hippo.
Because water taste better than gold
Money is just an object we assign value to.
You can't drink diamonds and gold.
“Bread taste better than key” ahh comment section🥀
I already know this. They don’t care about luxury because they value survival, such as water, the most. Because water is precious
Who'd have thought a bunch of useless shiny rocks and metals don't mean shit its almost like all those jewels don't have real value
Zimbabwe be like:
Humans in 10 years once the AI data centers have used up all fresh water.
The joke is that Africa is incredibly rich in diamonds and gold and other precious materials but most of the countries can’t advance enough to access it due to things like water and food insecurity. I meant to say countries. I'm aware Africa is a continent. I meant most of the countries because some are quite well developed. I may have poor spelling skills but I'm not that dumb.
"Even a mountain of gold is worthless when there's no food to buy"
Look at the bright side you're rich
Looks like they need an 18 hole golf course and an AI data centre
Realistically they're animals, so it's not like they can go up to humans and exchange it for goods.
This is proof, stop wasting water cause it's more valuable than diamonds and gold
