You've reached the end
I have a non-verbal Autistic son and I would have made absolutely SURE Dr.Murphy was there with him.
That last phrase hurted, Having non-loving parents is sad... 😢💔
"i didnt have that from my parents" *walks away like he didnt just drop a bomb*
Theres a reason it’s called the autism spectrum. Every person is individual and experiences differently
"I didn't have that from my parents." Destroyed me.
“I didnt have that from my parents”😭😭😭
You would think parents of an Autistic son would be more educated about Autism
It's very unbelievable that this guy went to med school and didn't meet any other people with autism in his whole life. I wish this show did a better job of portraying the doctor character as more realistic
"HE'S PSYCHOTIC!" What a diagnosis!
You know what's funny? They'd see someone autistic and expect him to freak out over patients and be and remain a highly respected surgeon for years
parents are hypocrites at this point
I have a bad case of Tourette’s syndrome and when I went to the doctors for a scan which turned out to be appendicitis, I kept ticking in stress and accidentally hit a couple of my doctors, and I just want to say, it’s so sad and depressing when we do stuff we don’t want, you could accidentally hit your friends and break their arm, or just do a little trip, all we know is that we can’t help it, I learnt that the hard way, but after listening to Dr Murphy, I think that really inspired me, thank you doctor Murphy 😭😭👏👏
“I didn’t have that from my parents” walks away with tears in his eyes 😢
as an autistic person: I AM STILL CAPABLE OF MAKING MY OWN DECISIONS, awkward or not they are my choices for my life
counting symmetries of objects or counting at all helps with autistic overload.
Even more unbelievable than the "autism super-power surgeon" bit is the idea that he's never met another autistic person. Maybe nobody at the same point on the spectrum as himself but that just highlights how little the show's writers actually understand about autism.
In my personal life I've adopted the thought that I won't let a person's personality or quirks get in the way if they are capable of doing their job. Lawyers and doctors and everyone in between.and ive never been dissatisfied
People need to understand that autism is a spectrum, if their son breaks down alot that doesnt mean someone else with autism would break down too
Bro threw in a fun fact at the end
Dr. Glassman is totally in the right about this. If there are parents who are very uncomfortable with their own kid being on the spectrum as well as other people who are on the spectrum, they failed to allow themselves to be educated.
