I often hear people say something along the lines of "It's not a question of Rashford's ability, it's just his off-field behaviour and lack of tracking back that people don't like." These people clearly didn't pay much attention to him at United, where he was anything from average to terrible in 90% of the games he played after his debut season and was particularly awful in his last 18 months at the club! The biggest problem with Rashford is that he rarely finds a teammate with a cross or a forward pass, often misses the target with his shots and can't control the ball and loses possession a lot of the time! The nightmare he's just had at the World Cup was typical of how he played for United for about his last eight years at the club! People talk as if he was Messi-like at Barcelona but if he was so great for them, why didn't he start many games for them and why didn't they buy him when United offered them a cut-price deal? Also, how does occasionally doing well when coming off the bench after your world-class teammates have put your side ahead against a tired, far-inferior side prove you're ready to play brilliantly as a starter in much-harder circumstances in The Premier League?
The Haters tried to destroy Rashford, they tried to get into his head with all the social media abuse, Marcus is still playing and enjoying his time, and back at Manchester United.
