You've reached the end
You are officially a Queenslander now that you have had a strawberry ice cream at the EKKA….
We always called it a bubbler when I was growing up in NSW.
Me, a Victorian: A bubbler? Oh, you mean the drink tap?
Oh your at the EKKA !!! .....I need that icecream 🍦 YUM 😋
We called them bubblers at school in NSW. I still call them that.
It's a bubbler down here in Victoria, too.
Hey TexAus, Gotta love that boy. Looking forward to your next trip back to Texas & hearing your relo's reaction to not only your son's accent but yours as well as I can pickup a change in that too.
Hi Lexi. Greg here mate. This is wonderfu news. Your son has fit in just fine. He's done enough. He's an Aussie now, no worries. Just like his cute mum & his dad. Even "Mr. Chips" purrs like an Aussie cat. I can't believe it! Enjoy your day. ❤❤😊😊😊
Yayyyyyyy you and your Family went to the Ekka😊❤ I hope you stayed for the fire works🎉
You’ve breathed the air at the Ekka. The change is irreversible. You may never leave.
At my primary school in Shenton Park ours were water troughs. Each trough had 6 taps
I think this is the first time that I've seen you say bubbler, maybe an overlooked word.
It’s bubbler in ACT and NSW
In QLD we only ever had a row of water spouts above a metal trough, never a single spout, we would just call them The Taps. Students would jam the wooden skewers left over from tuckshop into the spouts and then snap off the excess. So many times we would use the taps and get sprayed suddenly in the face because the stick inside the spout restricted water flow and created a skinny high-pressure jet of water when you were expecting just a laid back stream of water. Loved those days 😅
Yep, bubbler will do it!
Queenslander myself 😁 It was "The Trough" when I was in school; country school in the 90's. "The Bubbler" when I started working in Brisbane schools in the 2000's.
Bubbler must be an east coast thing. I’ve lived in WA all my life and had never heard “bubbler” before the last few years and that’s only from people from the east coast. I’m 54.
drink tap mate - Victoria 😂
Bubbler in NSW and Victoria too
I have lived in Queensland my entire life (66 years) and never called it a bubbler! Maybe, it’s a regional thing!
