My mother did this for me once with some bullies in the neighborhood. They never bothered me again and I'll never forget it. Almost 60yrs ago.

She is the most dangerous mother on this planet. She’s willing to sacrifice her own life for her cubs even when she knows her opponent is bigger and stronger but her determination to keep them safe will always prevail.

For those that dont know its unlikely the male will attack the female unless he sees no other option, as his only goal is to kill the cubs to put the female in heat again. the mother knows she more then likely wont win as stated the only thing shes trying to do is injury him and tire him out so he leaves. Im sure its common but for those who didnt fully understand what was going on and why he was so hyperfocused Tldr: the mother is trying to make it more effort then its worth and the male is trying to mate with the female

The biggest the baddest thing that's in the woods on the mountain is a mama bear 🐻 I don't care her size I don't care her shape as long as she's got two babies or a baby she'll fight to her death for her babies same with me I've got one son and I'd fight to my death to save him😊 just like any mama would do
