The Fold 8 is not only the perfect form factor but the first device I've seen from Samsung in a while with the least amount of compromise but the most amount of versatility.

I've watched dozens of reviews and haven't seen a single person mention the biggest pro this phone offers for IT professionals. Most of my job entails doing things that are painful on any phone period. I could get a fold, but I don't want to carry around a brick. The smaller form factor paired with a small tablet is amazing for me. Its not content I'm consuming on this device (almost none in fact). The content I want to view on the tablet format is desktop websites instead of their mobile equivalents which allow me to login to their backends and administer them properly. Viewing websites in desktop mode on a device while not having to carry a brick allows me to do work between home/office which I usually would have to ask someone to wait until I get to either. Everything else this device does I don't care about. I haven't seen a single reviewer mention this, or even display a website on the tablet side (not in splitscreen which reverts back to mobile) to demonstrate this.

I’ve loved the Fold 8 since the first time I saw it, and will be upgrading from my gorgeous Product Red iPhone 13 Mini in the next month or so. I’m guessing that Apple’s folding phone, albeit the perfect size, will be more than I’m willing to pay. And, to be honest, along with the feeling of going into the unknown (Android), I’m also looking forward to the experience. Wish me luck. Thanks for the content.

I love the form factor when open but I don't think it's for me when closed lol.

"I've already scratched the cover screen here - I'm not quite sure how I've done that" - Well, perhaps look at 4:50 on your YT upload...

Apps will support the ratio as soon as the apple ultra comes out and every developer rushes to update their apps to run on these new aspect ratios

I'm loving my Fold8 so far. The form factor while closed reminds me of how "short" the early smartphones were and I didn't know I missed it!

Went for the fold 8 ultra. The form factor of the fold 8 just isn't for me. I get the hype for a new form factor but the aspect ratio is too weird for regular social media apps which what I use most anyways

I'd probably buyit mainly because in a way it's a good small phone I'd love something as small as that

Got mine yesterday. .. absolutely blown away! But it does make you rethink usage as the front screen does suffer from being too small for many SM sites. With the Good Lock app though you can totally reconfigure the screens to fit more icons, adjust fonts etc. Bjt it does make you have to learn to open the device for proper viewing of content beyond basics. Also I am needing a much bigger and supportive magnetic ring for my case. My old one doesn't work all that great in certain orientations and does nothing as a stand for the larger screen mode.

A lot of it comes down to app support, once this aspect ratio becomes more popular, we'll see more app developers support it -- I truly think they really nailed the size, and the traditional candy bar style phone will be a relic of tech history, just like the old flip phones. Everybody who has tried my Z Fold 8 has converted, its an immediate "oh this is better".
