Ha ha ha…. I don’t want to say I told you so. But I did. I brought one pair of jeans and a fleece- which I only use when going back home. I also packed 3 pairs of good shoes. I only ever wear my Birkenstocks wherever I go! I wore 1 pair of shoes for a wedding, otherwise they’re growing mold in my shoe rack! Ditch your woollens or jeans and heavy cottons. Moisture wicking clothes only! Thank me later 😂😂😂

We did try to tell you, important thing is you have realised. So pleased you are using your thai. Don't rush saying the words, concentrate on the pronounciation, the thais will help you. You not been here for a winter yet. December, January, February it gets cold in Northern Thailand and Isaan and years ago I was in CM when it dropped to - (minus) 2C in the evening and people were donating clothes to the hill tribes. Normally it gets chilly in the evening but once the sun has come up and warmed things up it’s glorious weather. Still even in the morning when the sun has just come up but not had time to warm things up I put on an old fleece or rugby shirt to go on the veranda and drink my coffee.

Some very good points, yes you shouldn't have bought or took so many clothes. But don't throw away your winter warmers just yet. When December, January, and February comes you'll probably want them. It's amazing how cold you feel at night when the temperature drops down from 30 degrees to 15. When you're so used to it being hot, you get cold very easily.

This will probably sound crazy, but I have lived in Thailand for 5 years now, and when the temperature dips below 23 degrees, I feel cold, usually mornings or evenings. Some warmer clothing will be needed in certain areas as you fully acclimatise to the Thai climate. Fully agree about keeping within the law regarding riding a motorbike or driving a car. If you don't and you have an accident, you are going to be paying out big time, wrong license, drink driving, no helmet, no tax or compulsory government insurance, just a few that will invalidate your insurance. You also need a separate accident insurance (around 6,000 baht per year) to ensure you are covered for any accident that might occur. Wise is great, a big thumbs up for using them, if you have a wise card, that can be very useful too. When it comes to material things less is more in Thailand. I only own 15 pieces on clothing. Six years into Thailand don't own any sweaters, jackets, suits, trousers, shoes, socks or baggage. Tesco sim 30 day rolling contract is excellent. Once you decide to leave the UK explore Expats HSBC bank account Jersey. Being debanked in Thailand is a complete nightmare. 4,000 THB a lot of bank visa agents can be obtained. Farang international driving license is only good for 90 days. Happy travels.

Great video! Ive been loving overseas for 14 years, but just arrived in Chiang Mai. Thank you for your tips. I do have 1 thing to add. I also love WISE. I attached my WISE card to my Grab card so that I always have $$ to pay. Of course it's a manner of preference.

😂😂we’ve been coming out there for twenty one years over the Xmas and new year period usually , sometimes April time, we usually came for two to three weeks but now my wife has retired and my workplace are pretty flexible we’re upto about two months at a time, there is not one time that we’ve not packed stupid amounts of clothes that we never wear and we always say the same thing at the end of the trip, why didn’t we learn from last time 😂😂. We’re already saying now that we won’t take as much this time 🤷‍♂️

Don’t regret those winter clothing just yet 😂 You will need it when Thai winter comes… I have seen a guy who lives in Norweigien snow all his life shaking in Thai winter and it usually comes in weeks or month 😊

Work-permit! If you are working in Thailand you need a work-permit and pay tax accordingly. Youtubing is classed as being self-employed and taxes must be declared. working without a work-permit in Thailand is illegal under the Alien employment act. Fines can be up to 100,000 Baht, 5 years imprisonment, deportation and being black listed...

I don't know you personally, but I've been following your videos since you came to Thailand. One thing I've noticed is that you guys laugh more, are brave enough to cry in public, and express your emotions better. Or am I just imagining things?
