It’s an APU (auxiliary power unit) like those found on commercial planes. The VR6 is running off of the turbines bleed air from the compressor stage of the jet engine, not the exhaust. The bleed air is typically at 35-40 psi. Also, APUs offer virtually zero thrust, as they are optimized for mechanical and pneumatic power not propulsion. In commercial planes they provide the high pressure pneumatic force needed to start the massive turbofan jet engines, and to pressurize, heat/cool the cabin of the plane. They also provide rotational energy to the gearbox of a generator that produces electricity for a plane while on the ground. That said, the gearbox and generator are certainly excluded from this build.
