Eastern Osprey. If it was carrying a log, it may have been building or repairing its nest.
Eastern Osprey Eagle. He is collecting branches to start building the nest. They build one of the strongest nests of all our coastal birds. Because they build close to the ocean, the nest has to be super strong to withstand the strong spring winds 🦅
He’s a tradie, heading to his building job, solid builds, natural air con, lotsa nice timber, and views to die for.
Osprey eagle which builds a large nest and sometimes on the roof of your boat.
I love how into birds she is. Its always good to see someone's excitement and enthusiasm for their hobby.
"In breaking news... An Eastern Osprey has kidnapped Stick Man, after he was washed out onto the beach..." 🤣🤣
Osprey. Their nests are huge things , about the size of a truck tyre, made out of decent sized sticks .
That’s a Log Bird … very rare sighting!
Yes I believe it is one of our beautiful raptors. Fun fact Lex - during our wild fires, we have a bird who picks up live embers and drops them further out, because it knows wild life will be trying to escape. The bird then has easy pickings for food. 😮
Ozzy the osprey just coming back from Ikea with parts for his living room.
Osprey 's are gorgeous. They build big nests and many councils near the ocean have erected tall posts with platforms to give the Ospreys more permanent nesting places
Go down to the Osprey house in Murrumba Downs you’ll see their nest up on a pole that has live streaming!!!
There would probably be people from some places wondering what kind of beach is that with no people.
Nesting, it's that time of year. I saw a baby Lorikeet the other day.
As a birder, looks like an Osprey! My favourite bird 🥲
Lex, there is a book you can get at nearly any bookshop called "What Bird Is That?" or "Birds of Australia". You would love either of them.
The log is to hit the drop bears out of the tree so she can nest.
i love looking at Birds on the Beach
This is the rarely seen South Flying Spotted Belcher Bird. These birds are mostly nocturnal but can be seen building nests along the coastlines where American visitors could also be spotted. They are a playful funny species, very intelligent and show this when blogging on the net during the mating season, which can be for a whole year. They can be easily trained to speak a rudimentary and sometimes recognisable form of English and during bright sun, will even forage for dark glass to protect their eyes from the sun's glare.
You are so funny Lex 😂😂 ❤
