of course they're targeting small, family-owned businesses. genuinely like an actual bully picking on the weak

It's crazy how Buc-ee's sued Mickey Mart instead of Disney because of the use of "Mickey" in their name.

If an innocent person or company can lose because they cannot afford a legal defense, then your country doesn't have justice, it has a pay-to-win system.

As someone who has spent a lot of time in Beavercreek, I can tell you that they LOVE their beavers. You can’t drive 2 minutes without seeing a beaver somewhere. This is ridiculous and is practically an insult to the whole city.

Buc-ee’s is going to sue themselves into a corner with all the bad publicity.

It's crazy that John Oliver went "yeah the buccees guys are massive bullies, I dare them to grow a pair and sue someone who can afford to fight back for once!" Only for buccees to double down on their bullshit, and take their anger out on a small business that can't afford to fight back anyway.

To be honest, it looks more like an otter than a beaver.

It feels like it should be practically impossible to win a case as vague as "has a cartoon animal logo". But that's probably why they're targeting small mom-and-pops places. Those shops are too small to afford to fight something so frivolous without being drained into oblivion first.

I’m shocked buc-ees hasn’t sued BMW for that new front end design language.

As soon as I saw the John Oliver episode I thought about how the companies HAVE to protect their trademark; but then I saw the logos they alleged are infringing. Holy crap they need to stop.

The fact these lawsuits even won in favor of Buc-ee’s in the first place is fucking lunacy. Who the hell sees a cartoon beaver in a stupid ball cap compared to literally any other remotely cartoonish animal and says “yeah that alligator is too similar to the beaver”
of course they're targeting small, family-owned businesses. genuinely like an actual bully picking on the weak
