You've reached the end
Listen, as an Epie girl (a tribe in Bayelsa state, my people are well known for making fufu), i will share this little tip with you concerning fufu fermented with detergent. 1. The fufu usually comes out very white (although, there are some specie of cassava that naturally yield such white/clean looking fufu). However, the effect of detergent usually reults in a much whiter looking fufu. 2. The natural starch(ness) of the fufu drops a bit. For those are a used to eating fufu or pounded yam, when you buy fufu with added detergent, you will notice that it feels as though not so petfectly cooked, sometimes, seemingly less starchy than the usual (again, it is also important to still emphasis that some cassava are naturally less starchy too). But, in this one, it not just the starchy feel, it looks as though not perfectly cooked. These are the most basic i know and have heard of. As for the one fermented with paracetamol, i have no idea how it usually looks or tastes. Hopefully someday, we Nigerians will learn to value hunan lives and health far above money/greed.💔💔 This is my little contribution.
This is wickedness at another level!!! No wonder kidney disease is on the rise!
I don't know people will be this wicked. Is 3 to 5 days too much to wait?
and we wonder why kidney diseases is on the rise😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
After we go dey blame government 🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️ who really do us na
Bro isn't capping!!! The detergent part is so correct, soooo correct. I served in a village where this is the norm. Edit: Someone said it's WICKEDNESS but I beg to disagree because these people eat this same fufu, they don't just add detergent because it's for sale. To them it's a proper way and thing to do cause like I said they and their families consume it as well. Instead of wickedness It's more of IGNORANCE!!
I rarely buy and eat fufu these days. Buying cooked food these days can be dangerous because you don't know the cooking process.
Ah people have become greedy at the expense of lives
The heart of man is desperately wicked God have mercy on us
My brother, they even add kerosine, I'm speaking from experience. These sellers are wicked
Who edits these videos 😂😂😂 the first add on clip after the fufu slap is crazy work
This is the reason why all fufu manufacturers should be under NAFDAC
This is very true, almost every woman in my village does this, they still eat the fufu o! I have warned them so many times but they wouldn't listen. Even my mother does it.
God bless aproko doc for using his platform to give this awareness. I have stopped buying fufu because of this. Some people use hypo, some use sniper !!!!!! U know sniper na, wicked sniper. How can any SANE person do this.
Now i see why my husband would never agree to me to buy fufu for him
People should buy their cassava and make it their selves period. Even in abroad we do it ourselves.
That's why I don't eat it , I am not always comfortable if I don't process it myself
God will continue to bless you for this information my doctor
And ah Dey chop fufu Dey watch this video😭😩
I experienced a lot of people do it that way since I was little not only the things mentioned by Aproko doctor, there are lot more added to it in villages. They also use detergent to wash the cassava after peeling it to remove dirt on them. Some cassavas are too stubborn to get fermented no matter how many days it stays in the water, sometimes in a week or weeks some fail to get fermented and that is what led most of them in the village to start such. And these dangerous techniques are shared among themselves innocently after one has worked for one person just to help each other have well fermented cassava. They don't only do it to the ones they sell but also the ones they eat. They don't intentionally want to harm anyone but doing what they feel is great for their produce and that's just ignorance. It's left for their educated kids, grandkids, siblings, relatives, neighbors and awareness like this to teach them how bad what they do without any intention of causing harm can be very harmful. It's not greed, wickedness and whatever, they have no idea of the risk honestly. People should be sent to villages, to gatherings like August meetings, church meetings, village meetings to create awareness like these because a lot happen in villages that are dangerous to our health.
