For those who didn’t catch this shot in the last 3 seconds of the game, CC couldn’t pass it to a teammate without them possibly missing or bumbling the catch or getting fouled or other team wresting it away and miraculously scoring so the safest bet was to throw it beyond anyone’s reach - but on the court so possession wouldn’t pass to opponents - and let the time run out. Brilliant move akin to her bouncing the ball inbound off the back of Paige Bueker’s leg to retain possession and run down the clock.
