The paid charging unavailable message only applies to Tesla Superchargers, you can use any 3rd party charger in the meantime. The reason the Gridserve charger wasn’t working is you need to tap your bank card to begin the charge

You can charge the car at any 3rd party charging station and you don’t need to setup the app to drive off, just use the key card

There's problems and then there's no problem made to look like a problem for views. I just went on AI and asked it this problem and it told me this is a nano second - use a public third-party Type 2 or CCS public AC/DC fast charger using a standard debit/credit card or a third-party app (like PlugShare to locate one), or use a standard 3-pin domestic/destination charger if available.
When buying a second-hand Tesla, they always have this message on the screen. If it were changed to explain that you cannot use Tesla chargers until you have the V5, and should instead use 3rd party ones, that would save a lot of stress! And a very simple thing to do.
Haha weird. I just watched the same problem on its Joel's channel. The same charging message confusion. Turns out it's just standard message until new owner registered to them with their bank card etc. It's only the Tesla chargers though. Other chargers still fine
Not sure how you couldnt charge at the charger given on the screen of the charger it tells you what to do and was so simple
As a Tesla owner, every time you opened the door with the manual door open instead of the button on top. You are damaging the seal strip on the top of the frameless window. That because the windows drop a bit if you push the button and do NOT drop of your use the EMERGENCY open switch. That is there only if there is no power on the car 😑
