One of the most dangerous places... motel homeless are dwindling and garbage cans FILLED with brand new items..some with tags still on them...it's the staff... don't be fooled they have it rigged From carbon monoxide poisoning to straight up break in. Your card shows you there or not there.. they don't care if you are there... you don't matter

Reminds me of the recent Travelodge case (in the UK); where the reception staff gave a man key card to a women's room without any checks, after he claimed he was her boyfriend (he had attended the same party as her and had found out her name). He went into her room and xually assaulted her. He got 7½ years in prison.

This happened to me once about 12 years ago. Met family at a hotel, staff gave me the room key. Wasn't their room, was some poor middle aged half naked lady with two chihuahuas on the bed watching tv. Fkn AWKWARD! I told her I'm reporting this and she really should too, deeply apologized with my head turned, and left they keycard on the table. Never trusted hotels since.
