This is so amazing, I have a framework 12, clicked on the video and prepared to be sad because It makes zero sense to do the upgrade JUST for a fingerprint reader, then I remembered I can almost definitely just buy the new power button module, framework for the win
I have never rooted so much for a tech company like this, that really thinks about the customer and to also give them the freedom of it being "our" computer. Hope they keep succeeding!

I’d love to see a way to reuse an old framework laptop screen after upgrading it. For example, turn it into a portable display with its own power supply or even an old laptop battery. Even better would be a magnetic way to attach it to the Framework Desktop! That would be such a cool way to give old hardware a second life.
An optional color accurate Display for art + Wacom stylus support would be awesome, even if it raises the price quite a bit.
You guys should offer a lower-cost arm version, with 8GB of RAM, I'm sure the educational environment would start buying these in-bulk.
