Fun fact - ricing comes from car tuners in the 80s (who borrowed it from tuners of japanese motorcycles in the 60s and 70s). Rice burners were Japanese cars modded for aesthetics, originally a pejorative, but then ricing became a general term for modding Japanese cars. Then it got adopted by Linux modders.

At 1:33 — with all due respect Chuck, I love your videos 😄 but I think “the hardest Linux distro to install known to man” is a bit much for Arch. Gentoo, especially an old-school Stage 1/bootstrap-style install, is on another level compared to a normal manual Arch install. 😅

I love Linux. I use Linux Mint since August 2022.
Chuck, I've always been a Windows guy. I've been passively following your videos for a while. Never commented, but always left a like when I could, and I have a pile of your content in my Watch Later list. And although I've always been partial to Windows, I do have Ubuntu VM's + WSL, and am generally comfortable with Linux. But never comfortable enough to use it as my daily driver OS. Until now. Seriously... I'm very much so inclined to take my ThinkPad (a TP user on Windows?! Yeah, so sue me 😂) and just immediately wipe it and install Omarchy! All because of this video, and I'm only 10 minutes in. So thank you, and keep up the great work! 😁

This was probably the best introduction that was made for Omarchy. Whenever I watch videos about other distributions I'm like yea cool and never really have the will to try it out but Omarchy, the amount of customizable functions and themes is just crazy.
