Bruce was such a good person, much less guilt ridden over Supes/Clark, he absolutely would have kept tabs on mama Kent. For starters he was the anonymous donor who helped with Clark's funeral costs in the prior movie so she didn't have to worry about such things. I just don't think he would let it get to a point where she had to give up the farm, he would have kept tabs from the first notice she had received from the bank and THEN probably bought the bank. I always hated that beginning scene and then that ending; an easy dilemma, and an easy cure. They coulda easily spent a lunchtime hashing out another scenario if needed.

They could have done the bit better with Bruce saying he bought “it” and when Clark remarks “the house?” then Bruce could have done his little back slap and said “the bank” but writers just don’t go for it anymore.

"how did you get the house back from the bank?" Does Clark not understand that banks foreclose on stuff to resell it for a profit? It's not like the bank was gonna start farming the land themselves or anything
