I just can’t imagine being a marvel fan, even if it’s just on the movie side, and seeing the Avengers, Spider-Man, X-Men, Fantastic Four, Wakandans and BP, Namor, Magneto, Dr. Doom ALL IN ONE MOVIE for the first and potentially only time ever and just be like “nah I’m good. Nostalgia bait. Bleh bleh bleh.”
I love Hector’s takes. He’s knowledgeable, smart, and provides incredible insight. But I also think he’s getting in his own way here. He’s too deep inside his own head to truly enjoy what the rest of us are starting to get hyped for. I understand his criticisms, but to a point. (Edit: a good example that I thought of is Coy Jandreau. Very knowledgeable with the comics. Very smart about the lore and history of Doom. Yet his reluctance from the beginning has recently turned into hype. Again, I love Hector. He’s such an awesome dude. I just feel bad for him)

Y'all are freakin' high. Downey's delivery of, "I. AM. DOOM." is so on point. That's all I've ever wanted from a Doom on screen. He doesn't scream it, he's too regal. It's calm, measured. and menacing. I think you are all just too hung up on RDJ and how this Doom is somehow a Tony variant. Hector even says, "They know what they are doing." but somehow y'all are still doubting.

Really loved your intro Hector about not yucking people's yum, and it made me think. I realised that I don't actually want to hear you guys talk about outside criticism at all. Addressing criticism, talking about what other people are saying, the consensus on twitter, etc, I actually don't care. I know it's a big part of your lives but I actually only want to hear what you three think. I think there will be negative people, and when the positive voices spend time speaking to the negativity it's just giving the wrong voices more airtime. You've spent over a decade earning a big audience and I personally want you guys to grip the megaphones tight, let the complainers fade into the background <3
