Props to Eric for understanding what the film is trying to do, it’s not a predator defence film, it’s a commentary on the morality of using this stuff for “entertainment” and how far Hansen perhaps pushed things to the point his shows became a hindrance, like Eric said, it complicates the arrest of those people

There's this thing I like to call the "War Slop Paradox" We all know war is shitty. The older generation has lost people close to them, and the younger generation is more and more aware of the worldwide consequences of wars. So how does a young hot shot war loving director make a war movie? By tackling WW2 of course. Who would ever criticize a war loving movie if it's about beating up Nazis? I wouldn't, because fuck Nazis. They pick the most despicable targets in order to further their own goals and beliefs. In the same way, I believe TCaP picked the most despicable, low down, disgusting human beings to pick on and target... Because who would defend a pedophile? It gets Chris Hansen a hotshot TV series, and who cares if it's actually protecting the majority of predators? Who cares if the exploitative nature of the show lets a few predators slip through the legal cracks? Glad to see a movie actually tackling that.
