I think with Doomsday there’s been buildup in the sense that they’ve fleshed out the multiverse. Established the TVA and its role, introduced the concept of incursions, had a couple different films featuring different universes. But it’s the Doom angle of things specifically that obviously doesn’t have the buildup, as the buildup that still does exist, was realistically for Kang
