My old angel investor for our startup company was one of the types to get offered the new Ferrari’s as soon as they got unveiled. He has all the average ones, just to get offered the special ones, like the FXXK. Wildest thing is, a representative asks you for a meeting, comes to your place, then says he has an offer on a special model, mentions all the specs and all that, then asks you if you’d like to buy it. You either says yes, or no - no mention of price or anything. Then, you get invited to their factory in Italy and can either drive it home, or get it shipped.

They made it so they can keep producing high emissions vehicles that’s it. I guarantee the people that bought them were also promised some special priority access to some ultra limited edition models in the future or something.
