In Rick and Morty Season 6 Episode 1, the story begins right after the destruction of the Citadel. Rick and Morty are still trapped in the wreckage, floating in space with no fuel, almost no food or water, and a portal gun that no longer works. Rick even starts recording a dramatic “final message,” mocking how much the situation feels like a cheap parody of Avengers: Endgame. Just when it looks like they are going to die, Space Beth arrives and rescues them. Back in the garage, Rick tries to repair portal travel by resetting the portal fluid system. But he makes a huge mistake. Instead of resetting portal travel, he resets every portal traveler. That means anyone living outside their original universe gets sent back home. For Morty, that means returning to the ruined Cronenberg world from Season 1. This is the reality Rick destroyed when he tried to help Morty impress Jessica with a love potion, only for the whole planet to become a nightmare. Rick and Morty escaped to another universe, leaving the original Beth, Jerry, and Summer behind. Now Morty is finally back. The world is a wasteland. His old home is broken. Monsters are everywhere. Then Morty finds someone he never expected to see again — his real father, Jerry Prime. But this Jerry is no longer weak or helpless. Years of surviving alone have turned him into a hardened wasteland survivor. He hunts Cronenbergs, eats what he can, and lives with the truth that Beth and Summer are dead. Morty feels guilty and wants to reconnect. But Jerry is not interested in pretending they are still a family. He takes Morty’s supplies and walks away, making it painfully clear that Morty cannot simply return after abandoning him. I love how in this episode it proves that Jerry is more capable than we think and how he is the only remaining human in his reality and had the guts to try and kill rick prime with little hesitation
I love the food thing is both mean and loving. He made sure morty got food that wont kill him, but then immediately felt lazy and greedy and just ate it normally
My favourite line from this episode will always be "You're spoonfeeding spoons"
I like to think there was an actual risk in eating that without it being processed first, and that Rick was actually taking care of Morty, but didn't care that much for himself
I will not be eating from digestabot im sorry😭
I love how Rick cared enough to make sure Morty doesn't go into shock but bro immideatly eats the SANWHICH after
Man those are good sandwiches. They recovered so quickly. Mustve been those tomatoes
Ah the jerryboree, deep cut
So...he just had that bot...ready. and I thought batman was cautious
Made him eat shit hahah
Why is Rick not eating the shit pile sandwich 😂😂😂😂
damn i for some reason felt bad for them when they looked like that dont ask why idk why
it's always so satisfying when rick builds something so advanced like it's a lego set
so like when rick did this shouldnt have rick prime be reset and put in to his og univirse smart
"Eh I'll just risk it" Right after telling morty not to eat solid food
Cut out the only funny part of this scene where Rick says he's just going to risk it before eating the undigested sandwich while Morty looks on with a look of dismay
Sure is a coincidence that Rick, Morty and Jerry are all wearing the exact same clothes that they were wearing on the day they switched worlds apparently otherwise they would have left their clothes behind
He said everyone from *this* reality returning to their original one, which makes sense, but then randomly they say that rick prime shouldve been pulled back to cronenberg dimension? How does that make sense? How is rick's machine supposed to pull every single being across the central finite curve back to their origin, from 1 single dimension?
You included the setup to the joke but not the punchline with the digestobot thing
The shock thing is because digesting food takes energy and if you eat a huge meal after starving then you're body might not have the energy to digest the food
