Once again the best moment of a race is missed because they have to cut to the Emirates Winning Moment to watch a lone uncontested boat cross the line. News flash…we don’t need to see the winning moment in that situation.
Oh please oh please oh please.... Take a director who knows about sailing please! We missed all the action that matterd. I mean the action at the last bouy group B
Who is the fool directing this? Race 3 /Group B / last mark.. what happened? Who cares how excited the crowd are, or some people on a boat that has finished? Are you deliberately trying to not show the most exciting parts? The choice of what we see RUINS these events. Race 2 / group B / first leward mark, how did GBP get thru that and get up to 2nd on that leg?

Terrible camera directing. Not even a replay on the crazy position changes at the last rounding mark. As previous comments have said, we don't need a shot of the crowd, we need play-by-play of the real time action. Stop telling anecdotes or how the team is doing this year when there are vital position changes happening on the course. How many times do you need to read these comments before you make this amazing sport called correctly on broadcast? Infuriating. Take a lesson from NHL play by play broadcasting.
Exactly ^^ depending on where you are in the world you might wake up at a certain time during the race and if I can’t go to the beginning, I’m not gonna watch it live. I’m gonna wait till it’s finished so I can rewind it back to the start. In previous seasons, we’ve always been able to do that and now all of a sudden you guys do it live with no ability to rewind, which is insane and despite what you might think is counterintuitive.
All the boats, a longer first leg, no 'winning' moments, and I might just start being interested in watching again.
Had it with the stupid non-sailor producer cutting away from the action to cover the finish of the winner while the action in the pack gets ignored and we don't get to see the critical passes and maneuvers!!!
On a scale of 1 to 10, how stupid is it to deprive viewers of the ability to start the live stream over while it's in progress? The only thing you achieve is the risk that viewers will drop out and never see the race! And then afterwards post the stream so they can fast forward and rewind?
That is it - I'm calling it. The commentators are no longer to drink energy drinks, coffee and must also stay away from sugar. Clearly can't handle the excitement while also being high on energy.
Once again terrible camera/videography management on the TV feed - save all the close up shots and finish line crosses for after the fact replays please!!! What matters in sailing is the wider angle view of multiple boats on course! Otherwise we could just watch random sailing reels instead of a live race event...
and they never showed a replay at the last mark R3 GB omg they screwed the pooch on this broadcast. don't think i'll watch tomorrow.. sail GP get your S... together.

Why do the commentators have to scream and shout, this isn't football !

i wish they would stop cutting away from the aerial view, always happens when the interesting crosses at the marks are going on.!
Be nice if you stopped crapping on about knots being "old money" for the "old sailors out there"... knots is the standard way of measuring speed on the water for ALL YACHTING, you are the strange ones using kilometres per hour.
What a joke, who operates the camera angels?? YOU NEED SPLIT SCREEN when a winner crosses the finish line! ALL the action is OFTEN missed when other boats are fighting positions 2/3/4 !! So frustrating, It honestly makes me want to find another sport...
So why do they bother to have live feed of the comms from the boats if the commentators constantly talk over it, all the time? It's so annoying not to be able to hear what the tacticians are saying on board the boats.
