IGN 7/10 "Not diverse enough."
Asmongold is in a very Chinese phase in his life right now.
Disclaimer : “no blue hairs were part of this games development”
You're more likely to get Black Hercules before Black Myth Hercules...
Kaise: Mission accomplished.
Can't wait for IGN to give it a 6/10 and Intergalactic Bald Lesbian a 10/10
At least Game Science didn't lock this trailer behind a streaming service subscription.
As a Korean man who grew up watching Chinese Kung fu films in 80s and 90s this game means soooooo much to us. Those swords movement, monsters and environment it's just ridiculous. As an Asian man who's turning 50 soon I am definitely gonna play this and cry.
China making western developers look like amateurs.
China has Black Myth. US has Black Disney
In Daoist tradition, Thunder Rites (Leifa, 雷法) are regarded as some of the most powerful arts for subduing demons and evil spirits — lesser spirits are basically not even worthy of witnessing them. So in Black Myth: Zhong Kui, with its strong Daoist background, it makes perfect sense to see all kinds of Daoist spells and Thunder Rites. The protagonist’s sword also appears to be a Seven-Star Sword (七星剑). The “seven stars” here refer specifically to the seven stars of the Big Dipper (北斗七星). In Daoist tradition, the Big Dipper holds great religious significance, and Seven-Star Swords have long been used as ritual weapons associated with warding off evil and subduing demons. It’s also a weapon traditionally associated with Zhong Kui. I also wouldn’t be surprised if the sword movements were motion-captured with guidance from actual Daoist practitioners or traditional martial artists, because you can clearly see the influence of traditional Chinese swordsmanship in the movements, especially elements that resemble Wudang-style Taiyi Xuanmen Sword (武当太乙玄门剑). It makes me really happy to see our traditional culture being shared with people around the world in such a cool way. I can’t wait to enjoy this feast together with all of you when the game finally arrives!
At this rate Western game studios will try to ban Eastern games :)
I see that Kaise has completed her mission to get Asmon to promote her country's games...
Black Myth proved China could compete at the highest level. Zhong Kui looks like they’re trying to raise the bar again. 🔥
While western developers try to perfect propaganda games, Asian developers are perfecting graphics, visual effects, gameplay, combat animations and general badassness. I wonder what gamers prefer.
Im in a very Chinese moment in my life
Someone in chat said "Asmon & Kaise" when the girl came out and dragged the boss in the water 💀🤣🤣
ZhongKui is basically ancient ghost rider
US journalists: It's not woke 😭😭😭
Time is running out for Astro Bot 2.
