They get totems of undying from a raid farm, basically they cause a raid in the middle of nowhere and have the enemies spawn on solid blocks. A raid is caused when the bad omen effect on the player meets a villager, which causes the raid. Players can abuse this by creating a farm that localizes where the enemies spawn into a giant death trap effectively creating a farm for totems of undying.

reason why they got so much better gear at day 6 is cuz they have pro builders build the farm and basically got all their gear off stream. some might call it cheating but to them this was just for pure entertainment not an actual challenge even tho they advertise it as that

in all seriousness, they did played and beat minecraft legitly after the pro minecrafter feinberg coached them. feinberg said they need to get full protection IV and then beat warden first because it is the hardest, and they did. after that, it just a breeze because protection IV is too op

That giant tower of cobblestone is a totem farm made mainly from lava casting. The reason it’s so high is to control where the raid spawns enemies. Ianxofour has some great designs for farms, although I'm not sure how well they work in the current version of the game.

36:20 they filled the mob cap. Basically even between dimensions only a certain amount of mobs can spawn, the mob cap was full of mobs being loaded elsewhere, so there was no room to spawn endermen. Bosses are an exception, of course

To explain the totem farm simply the mechanics behind it is you have 1 villager to be able to start the raid, Aswell as a new item they added called 'ominous bottle' dropped by the pillagers with banners. You take said villager to the middle of an ocean so that the pilliagers dont spawn anywhere besides the top of the build. Usually there is lava on top in order to kill the big ravagers, with water guiding them down the drop/hole. The drop is perfectly 27 blocks up in the air so the fall damage the Pilliagers take is enough to leave them 1-2 shots from death. Once u kill the magician that's the one that drops the Totems. The more Ominous bottles you have, the more totems you can farm since you can start another raid right after the last one finished.
