If they're an outdoor cat, or manage to get out whatsoever, DO NOT DO THIS!!!!! It'd be almost like if you were to go outside while handcuffed. I've never had major issues with cats clawing furniture, I just provide a scratch post and trained them young to let me handle them and trim their nails occasionally, manually.

Y'all these caps can literally change the life of some cats. Some cats actively will scratch themselves. Sometimes trimming isn't enough to stop it. They're temporary. They come off. There's nothing wrong with cat claw caps, but they arnt necessary all the time, if you don't have scratching posts that might be the problem, and a lot of cats will ignore scratching posts so that's why they make things you can drape over the side of the couch that they scratch

My grandma's cat makes biscuits (kneads claws) on her lower stomach all day. Will NOT stop, spray her with water and shes back in 30 secs. My gma is on blood thinners so this recently started causing sores that get infected. And as a diabetic with low circulation, minor infections are why she got a leg and the other foot amputated. These saved my gma. If you think they're inhumane, the alternative was her getting declawed, or worse, going to a pound. And we know how that ends.

These are terrible for their paws… it inhibits their ability to retract their claws and puts pressure on their paws

I get the idea, but it's not something I would support, regardless if it doesn't hurt then. They use their claws for many other things, like catching onto things to stop themselves from falling. It's also quite literally need to claw at things to sharpen them because if they don't, their claws will grow crooked and become deformed. So, literally just get a few scratching posts, that's what they're for, it's in the name. And if you really wanna prevent them from scratching up things, then try to get their claws trimmed frequently.

Tried these on my cat. The glue they give you is basically just super glue, and causes way too many layers of nail to peel off like an onion when the caps finally break loose, leaving a jagged stump of a nail. Will never use again.
